2021 Dealer of the Year / Consumer Satisfaction Awards FAQ
Who can win?
Any dealership listed on DealerRater can win DOTY and/or CSA. Dealers do not have to be paying customers of DealerRater to be considered for these awards.
What are the criteria for winning?
● 1 review per calendar quarter in the previous calendar year
● 25 reviews received on DealerRater in the previous calendar year
● 4.0 or higher average rating
● Must not have been blacklisted during the previous calendar year
Dealers can win DOTY in the following categories: national winner for make sold, state or province winner for make sold. Dealers who meet the criteria above and have earned the highest PowerScore in their category will win.
CSA is not based on make sold. The top 10% of US franchise dealers will receive the award, along with a top percentage of US used car, and Canadian used and franchise dealers.
How is the Consumer Satisfaction Award different from the Dealer of the Year Award?
The Consumer Satisfaction Awards is intended to recognize dealerships that provide an exceptional customer experience, and Consumer Satisfaction awards are given out to a percentage of the top-rated dealerships on DealerRater. There is no limit to the number of dealerships within a certain State/Province or brand that could potentially receive a Consumer Satisfaction Award - rather each dealership is compared against all others on DealerRater when determining Consumer Satisfaction Award recipients.
